Marymoor Garden Snow 2012

I love the snow.  Probably because it is so rare around here.  When my family woke up today we made a b-line for the closest bohemian bookshop and then off to Marymoor Community Gardens.  I had to see how our garden had been transformed.  It was absolutely beautiful.  Enjoy the pictures! ~Sam

I always laugh when I see these signs.  The "P" in P-patches was originally to pay homage to the Picardo family in Lake City, WA who started the first community garden in Washington State. I'm pretty sure the Peas had nothing to do with it!

Evidently, the snow disregarded our new signage.

Two butterflies frozen in flight.

I think I understand how this sun feels today...brrrr!

Lavender, blue chilly-chilly!

This rosemary almost seems to enjoy the frosty snow!

Most productive grapes in the garden asleep for now...

No Foodbank deliveries today!

This frozen Cardoon looks almost alien-like with the snow.

Room for Rent: Prices are cheep cheep.

Chief Wek-wek watches and waits.

Sunflowers have turned to snowflowers.

I didn't know humming-birds liked Hawaiian shaved ice?

Almost seems like the perfect setting for a truly white wedding!

I knew there were gnomes in our garden...looks like this one didn't make it  before the snow fell!

By the way... not sure what happened to your post and why it did not show up on our wall. I'll look into that but meanwhile I posted for you so folks can see.
